Race for the Space was a competition held in Rochester, NY that pitted would-be entrepreneurs, and their business ideas, against each other. The competition culminated in a final pitch to a panel of 9 judges on Friday, October 23rd. These judges determined the winner, who will go on to have many of their start-up costs covered, including rent for a year.
There were 5 finalists, but in the end it was City Sense, a locally curated furniture store pitched by Dani Polidor, that took the trophy and the prize. There was also a runner up chosen: Jessica Rotoli with Blowout Studio a Rochester blow dry bar.
