Actress and producer, Lisa Blount was found dead on Wednesday by her mother, at her home in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Academy Award Winner was only 53-years-old.
As of now, there is no known cause of death. The Pulaski County Coroner is reporting that there looks to be no signs of foul play. While her body was not found until Wednesday, it appears as though she may have died on Monday.
Blount had been married to Ray McKinnon, also an actor. He was out of town when her body was discovered.
Blount made her debut in show business in 1969 in “Sam’s Song”. What she is most remembered for is her part as “Lynette Pomeroy in the movie “An Officer and a Gentleman”. She also played the part of Bobbi Stakowski in a FOX TV series called “Profit”.
She won an Academy Award for “best live action short film” in 2001 for a film called “The Accountant”, in which her husband Ray McKinnon was the star.
